UWM is one of the only places in the world where students can earn a BA in Jewish Studies completely online. If you are on campus, you can earn your degree in Jewish Studies with a mixture of online and in-person classes. UWM is also one of the only places where you can learn Modern Hebrew in fully online classes, allowing you to take classes from anywhere in the world and to fit language learning into the rest of your schedule. Special pricing for out-of-state students for Jewish Studies and Hebrew courses greatly reduces the cost from regular out-of-state rates.
Studying Jewish Studies at UWM allows you to engage richly with the culture and religion of the Jewish people through language, history, arts, media, politics, and literature. Our personalized program really lets you get to know your professors. Our approach to Jewish Studies is broad and inclusive, attracting Jewish and non-Jewish students.
Our students go on to careers in Holocaust education, Jewish communal services, religious education, or on to rabbinical school or advanced graduate study. Some of our students double major in Jewish Studies and History, or Jewish Studies and Religious Studies, as some of our courses count for both majors.
