- For all students, Atmospheric Science courses numbered 300 or above taken before Fall 2022 count as L&S Advanced Natural Sciences.
- For students who declared the major in Atmospheric Science before Fall 2022, or took ATM SCI 240 before Fall 2022 and later declared the major in Atmospheric Science, Atmospheric Science courses numbered 300 or above taken in Fall 2022 or later may count toward the L&S Advanced Natural Sciences requirement.
